Ingredients

  • 1 part fresh ginger root
  • 1 part fresh turmeric root
  • 1 part fresh horseradish root
  • 1 part fresh garlic cloves
  • Citrus zest from 1 lemon or orange
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • 1-2 dried cayenne peppers adjust to taste
  • Raw apple cider vinegar
  • Raw honey optional, to taste

Instructions

  • Chop all the fresh ingredients into small pieces and place them in a clean glass jar.
  • Add the cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, and cayenne peppers to the jar.
  • Pour enough raw apple cider vinegar to completely cover the ingredients and fill the jar.
  • Seal the jar tightly with a lid and give it a good shake.
  • Let the mixture infuse for 2-4 weeks, shaking the jar daily to help extract the flavors.
  • After the infusion period, strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean jar.
  • Add honey to taste, if desired, and stir until dissolved.
  • Store your fire cider in the refrigerator and enjoy a shot daily for a fiery burst of wellness!
